Tropical Storm Isidore is bringing heavy rains and high winds to the Louisiana Gulf Coast on September 25, 2002. Moving northward at roughly 12 miles per hour, Isidore is packing sustained winds of 65 miles per hour and is expected to bring upwards of 20 inches of rain to Louisiana. Concentric rings of small cumulus clouds appear to be spinning inwards toward a center point located roughly near the border of northeast Louisiana (the boot-shaped state) and Mississippi (to its east). It's possible that there is an area of low pressure near there, as clouds spin counterclockwise around a low pressure center in the northern hemisphere.
